LocoSkates continues to receive the support of some of the top rollerbladers in the UK and world! We believe this is a result of our commitment to rollerblading as a sport and our roots connection within the core industry.

We also have a skate team consisting of some of the best rollerbladers in the world in their fields. They don't get paid a bunch of money, they are in it for the love! Thanks for the support guys:

Leon Humphries
Leon is widely considered as one of the best rollerbladers
in Europe and is definitely one of the most stylish! Growing
up in the inner suburbs of London, Humphries is a true, roots street skater. With multiple magazine interviews, uncountable printed photos and many video sections it's no wonder he has earned the respect of skaters across the world and picked up other major sponsors such as Valo (European team member), Ground Control and BHC. Check out Leons video section in
Teem, opposite.

Jenna Downing
Jenna is probably the most recognized female rollerblader
in the world today. She travels the world's international
contests and continues to represent the Loco Tee at
almost every single one! She consistently wins the
girls category (Summerclash '08 1st place) and often
places high in the men's competition beating some of
the best rollerbladers in the world (7th place overall,
NASS '08). Jenna has made more mainstream T.V and
media appearances than any other UK rollerblader by
a LONG way. Don't be surprised to see her on MTV,
Saturday morning kids TV or across a double page spread
in a national tabloid (‘cos they've all happened!). Jenna
also works very hard with the government-run 'Sport
England' as an 'Elite Athlete' to promote rollerblading in
schools and the mainstream. Check out this video of
Jenna skating in a recent music video for Ministry of Sound.
The single went to number 1 in multiple countries across
Europe.

Oli Short
Oli Short is another of the world's most recognized skaters. He has taken 'fame' in rollerblading to a new level due to his massive international exposure and extremely unique style (skating AND attire!). Oli is literally mobbed for autographs and pictures at most events he attends. This guy films ALOT! Oli maybe has more video sections to his name than any other rollerblader in the last five years! He also lays claim to the most watched YouTube rollerblading video section with over 82,000 views when this was written. His exposure in the core rollerblading circuit is unfounded. It's difficult to pick up a skate mag anytime from 2003 onwards without seeing Oli's big grizzly grill staring back at you! Check out why Oli has earnt so much respect from kids, skaters and the industry by checking out his 'Face The Music' video section here:

James Deans (aka Joby Dick)

James, in comparison to the other LocoSkates riders, is a newer face on
the scene. Although he has paid his dues for almost as long as the rest
of us he has only recently received an atom of the exposure he deserves
for his talents. Your likely to notice James at major UK events standing out from the crowd with his unique technical ability on rails or on the street nailing big hammers left right and centre. Growing up in a rough part of Glasgow seems to have voided James' regard for his own safety. James currently rides for Roces Skates UK as well as LocoSkates.com. Keep an eye out for Joby doing the seemingly impossible at a park or street spot near you in the near future.

Jake Eley
‘Hi my name’s Jake and I’m the fat controller here at LocoSkates.com! The inspiration to start LocoSkates was born out of my passion for rollerblading! I started skating when I was 13. At 18 up picked up UK sponsorship from K2 Skates who were the highest profile skate brand at the time. I filmed, traveled and skated a lot! In 2002/03 I had a lot of magazine and DVD exposure, won the British champs/NASS contest, placed high in Euro comps and had a Pro-skate/frame released by K2. In 2004 I suffered ligament damage in my ankle and couldn’t skate much so I set to work creating LocoSkates. I opened the doors to Loco Skate Shop in Eastbourne on Dec 4th 2004…the rest is history. More recently I have been skating less competitively but have been involved in many skating related projects such as stunt shows and TV work. I continue to skate hard and represent Loco with all my soul.’
