About this product
Introducing the newest member of the Iqon skate family, the CL 10. The classic 165 mount brother of the popular TR 10 model.
Iqon TR 10 vs. CL 10, differences: The key differences are the fact that this CL 10 boot won't take Trinity based frames like the TR 10 boot, the CL 10 is designed for 165 classic mount frames - thankfully most frame companies are now catering for both frame attachment options so your compatible frame choice options are not highly effected by the lack of a Trinity base on this new model. You'll also notice that this CL 10 boot doesn't have the A-Top fastening wheel and instead opts for a much simpler lace and mid-ratchet strap design. Iqon have put a bit more space in the toe box area of this CL 10 boot, making it fit a little wider and less compact then the TR 10 boot.
Technical details
The hand made Carbon fibre boot is lightweight and accurate. A standard for performance high-quality skates, helping maintain and develop your skills and speed. The carbon fibre cuff is rigid and responsive. Perfect for slalom and freestyle where absolute precision is required to perform tricks. Or, equally, useful for enhanced lateral support when skating long distances.
Iqon used a “performance last" to build the skates. This means the skate is narrow in the heel/calf area and low/compact in the toe box area. Width measurements are not available but heat moulding the boots is both advisable and desirable to alter the shape of the boot to your foot. Once complete not only will you be comfortable but totally secure with no unwanted movement inside.
The skate is vegan friendly and the quality materials sourced are eco friendly.
The CL 10 is an incredibly light weight boot. The UK8/EU42/US9 size weighs just 742 grams per boot.
Who is Iqon?
Whilst Iqon seem like the new kids on the block, you may be surprised to learn the brand’s deep-rooted history within aggressive skating. Starting life as ‘Disroyal’, they hosted the famous Bindlach open, created OUT skates, Pawn protective equipment and even had their own superhero in published comic books. Literally legends. Fast forward to today, 20 years or so later, Disloyal launched the original brand Iqon with an ambitious line of products fit for the most ambitious skaters.
What is this skate for?
Slalom, freestyle, urban skating. The CL 10 is a similar skate to the Hardcore Evo, FR Igor and Seba High Light Competition.
Can I buy a complete version?
A complete version is not available to purchase, but we can help. If you'd like some advice on what frames and wheels to purchase along with the boot please email us at hello@locoskates.com, along with your intended use.
How do they fit?
While the toe box is slightly wider and less compact then the TR 10, The CL 10 is still designed to fit very close, for the purpose of control and responsiveness. Due to this, we recommend paying close attention to the measurements listed for each size and potentially purchasing one full size bigger than your regular shoe size, especially if you fall between sizes based on the mondo point measurement. We would recommend having a few mm's above your foot length for the boot to fit well, so for example I have 26cm feet length and wear a UK7/EU41 shoe - for the CL 10 boot I will wear the UK8/EU42 size.
